Terry Hasseltine was appointed Director of the Maryland Office of Sports Marketing by Governor Martin O'Malley in July 2008. Hasseltine has been instrumental in leading various bid-development and event-support opportunities for Maryland including the FIFA World Cup™; NCAA Men's Lacrosse National Championships; World Football Challenge; U.S. Youth Soccer Region I Championships; USATF Junior Olympics; DEW Tour; Baltimore Grand Prix and several Army-Navy football games. Hasseltine's marketing initiative promotes the state as a sports event and travel destination: TEAM Maryland.
